Wall Sit

A system designed to monitor stability and endurance during wall sit exercises.
The system provides real-time timing and audio feedback to support correct alignment and sustained performance.

How it works

  1. Stand against the wall and lower yourself into a wall sit or mini squatposition. Once a stable posture is maintained, the timer startsautomatically.
  2. The LED display tracks the total holding time, and music plays at 30-second intervals for motivation.
  3. If excessive movement is detected, a buzzer alert will sound.

User Feedback and System Improvement

Feedback

  • Some users felt slightly unsafe during prolonged wall sit holds
  • Stability detection logic was unclear
  • The system appeared to detect squat height rather than actual wall contact

Improvements Made (see Wall Sit v2)

  • Stability detection removed
  • Additional sensor added on the wall

Features

Posture Stability Detection

Monitors body movement to ensure the wall sit position is stable and controlled.

Automatic Timer Activation

The timer begins automatically once a stable posture is maintained.

Real-Time Visual and Audio Feedback

The LED display shows the holding duration, while a buzzer alerts the user if instability is detected. Motivational music plays every 30 seconds during the hold.
