Pet the Puppy
A hand-interaction system integrated into the head of a toy dog using a proximity sensor.
A playful entry point for understanding exercise snacking.
How it works
-
Place the proximity sensor on the head of the toy dog, then place the dog on the floor. When the user bends down and pets the dog, their hand triggers the proximity sensor.
- Each interaction is counted and displayed on the screen. A frequency indicator reflects how quickly the user is engaging with the system.
User Feedback and System Improvement
Feedback
- Users loved the dog
- Consider adding a barking sound feature
Improvements Made (see Pet the Puppy v2)
- A speaker was added to enable barking sounds
- Upgraded to wireless connection
