Sit-to-Stand v2

A system designed to encourage regular sit-to-stand movements and reduce prolonged sitting.

How it works

  1. Sit on a chair. Stand up fully to trigger one sit-to-stand count.
  2. A beep sounds every 5 movements to encourage progress. The LED color changes gradually with each movement. After 30 movements, a rainbow animation plays as a celebration.
  3. If the user remains seated continuously, the system issues timed alerts. A short warning sound and blinking light are triggered first, followed by a stronger red blinking signal if sitting continues.

User Feedback and System Improvement

Feedback

  • Still too many wires, which made the setup look cluttered

Improvements Made (see Sit-to-Stand Module)

  • Build as a seperate module, all the feedbacks are on another unit (see Core Unit)
